This #WorldEnvironmentDay, let’s talk #SustainablePeriods. What’s the connection between menstrual health and the environment? Most disposable pads & tampons contain plastic and can take up to 500 years to break down, yet, millions are disposed of daily!

Now, there are sustainable period products that are better for your body and our environment like menstrual cups, reusable cloth pads, and period underwear. They’re safe, effective, and reduce the waste burden on our planet.

We can make the switch by choosing these eco-friendly options or even sparking conversations about it. This way, we make better informed choices that serve our bodies and the earth!

 To mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we hit the streets of Abuja to ask everyday women some simple, but often misunderstood, questions about menstruation.

The answers? Honest, surprising, and sometimes heartbreaking!
Where there’s no knowledge, stigma takes over. And girls are left to suffer in silence.

We’re proud to support the First Lady of Nigeria @officialoluremitinubu’s #FlowWithConfidence campaign, because every girl deserves to manage her period with dignity, understanding, and confidence✨

Ahead of #WorldMenstrualHygiene day, @womenshealthnigeria is proud to support the #FlowWithConfidence campaign with something special:

The Period Care Kit
 A thoughtfully curated bag filled with: ✨ A locally sourced eco-friendly pad 🇳🇬 from @sussflowreusable  ✨ Handwash for hygiene ✨A soft towel ✨ A refreshing deodorant ✨ A cute toiletry bag to secure it all!

These kits will be shared to schoolgirls in underserved communities, and it’s just the beginning!
